How can I test SW-A1 to make sure it is working properly?
Wi-Fi and Internet access are required for SW-A1 to connect to the D-Link cloud. If SW-A1 is disconnected to a local Wi-Fi network, or your Wi-Fi router loses Internet connections, you will only be alerted by the built-in siren and strobe light when water is detected. In case SW-A1 loses Wi-Fi connectivity or Internet access, a “device offline” push notification will be sent to your mobile device.
To ensure SW-A1 is functioning properly after you’ve set up the device, please try the following steps:
- Verify the status LED on the device has a solid green.
- Pour some water on the sensor cable and wait for it to detect the water.
- Check if you are alerted by the built-in siren, strobe LED on the device, and a push notification on your mobile device.
Note: If the device doesn’t respond, check if the sensor cable is installed correctly.
